Volunteer Required Information

ALL VOLUNTEERS and COACHES

The Optimist Club and City of Washington require that background checks be performed for all volunteers, including:

  • Referees
  • Coaches
  • Assistant Coaches
  • Team Parents/Team Managers

As of the Fall, 2012, Soccer League season, the Optimist Club of Washington has contracted with a national service, as Protect Youth Sports, to perform background checks on our behalf.

Volunteers are required to provide information on the Protect Youth Sports website for a background check to be performed.

All new volunteers must go to this secure website to complete their information: https://opportunities.averity.com/optimistclubWA
