You can make a difference in a child's life

For over 34 years the Optimist Club of Washington has been serving the youth of Beaufort County.

We have been organizing and running the soccer program for over 22 years.

WE NEED NEW MEMBERS
TO KEEP OUR PROGRAMS GOING.

Membership dues are $55 per year and are paid to our local Optimist Club. The $55 includes the quarterly dues that are paid to Optimist International and the Optimist North Carolina District. There are no local dues paid. The dues may be paid by-annually.

The Club meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at Frank's Pizza from 7-8pm. Our meetings are limited to 1 hour. Meal participation is optional.

Members volunteer time is flexible. Any projects are approved by the club membership. Volunteers work in the concession stand during soccer season (September-October) and help with soccer signups, soccer tryouts, fundraisers and soccer coaches meetings.

We have been selling Christmas trees, but have voted to give up this project and we are in process of finding another fundraiser that we can do. The funds we raise go for supporting sports teams, the soccer program and scholarships as well as some other community projects or individual youth needs.

We would love for you to consider becoming a member of the Optimist Club of Washington. Everything we do is for the youth in our immediate community. Our Motto is "Friend of Youth".
